SCOTTISH FESTIVAL RAFFLE WINNER: 20 YEAR BOURBON
Congratulations to Robert who is the lucky winner of the raffle from this year’s Scottish Festival in McMinnville - for which Woodworth was the title sponsor. After consulting his friends, he decided on the Distiller’s Masterpiece 20 year bourbon over the Glenmorangie Excellence 21 year Scotch! Both great options.
Thank you so much for all who bought a ticket, as 100% of the proceeds benefited Yamhill County CASA and their mission. We broke records for the amount raised with a raffle for YCCASA! Thank you to their Executive Director Sarah Johnson for joining us all weekend to facilitate the raffle. And thank you again for a successful first year as the title sponsor of the Mac Scottish Festival. Drew & Quinn Millegan, Managing partners of the Woodworth Contrarian Fund, trace their deep roots in Oregon back to Scotland. James Alexander Millegan, their great-great-great-great grandfather made the treacherous voyage alone from Scotland in 1803 at the age of 7 to New York City. He hailed from Edinburgh, but in New York, he met his wife and built a family that went out West, ultimately settling in Oregon and Montana. His children were even the 13th homesteaders in Montana, founding Millegan, MT. He was the only veteran of the War of 1812 buried in Montana - he happened to be visiting his children there when he fell ill.
